About Us
The Energy Communities Coalition is a national network of energy communities involving a significant number of citizens who envision a cleaner, democratic, and socially just energy system.
It started its activity in 2021, and since December 2023, the energy communities and supporting institutions have formalized it as a platform for cooperation, education, and the exchange of know-how and good practices, in line with the 7 international cooperative principles.
The Coalition members jointly plan and implement actions to address challenges, improve the relevant legislation, and generally contribute to the democratization of the energy sector.
Main purposes:
- Advocacy actions
- Outreach and awareness-raising
- Exchange of knowledge
- Development of synergies
- Promoting equal access and social justice in the energy sector
- Linking with institutions for research purposes
and others as described in our statute.
